Younger leads in fundraising for commission race

Commissioner Phill Younger raised more money than any candidate for Longboat Key Town Commission through Jan. 7, according to campaign treasurer reports.

Younger raised $6,400 in his bid for a final term in the at-large seat he has held since 2010. His challenger, Gene Jaleski, filed a notification of no activity in his campaign account for the reporting period.

Jack Daly, who is running for the District 4 commission seat, raised $6,275 during the reporting period. Larry Grossman, who is also seeking the District 4 seat, raised $100.
