+ Young Professional of the Year finally lands job
That’s Frank Maggio in his favorite floral shirt, showing The Sarasota Observer his pearly whites during an interview for Young Professional of the Year last June. Although he was seeking employment at the time, Maggio managed to dazzle the judges for the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year Awards and nab the title of Young Professional of the Year.

Ten months later, after networking his booty off while meeting with young professionals and business leaders, in addition to scoring contract gigs in credit writing and loan analysis, Maggio, 35, accepted a position in credit administration with Insignia Bank’s downtown office. A graduate of Florida State University and the Florida School of Banking, he is active in numerous professional organizations, including the Sarasota Chamber, Leadership Sarasota, YPG and the Risk Management Association.

Maggio says his future goals are to run for city commission and become mayor.
