MONDAY, MARCH 23

Al Fuller's Blues Jam — takes place at 9 p.m. at the Five O'Clock Club. Free.

Blues fans, or anyone looking to unwind after a long Monday at work, can head to the Southside Village for Al Fuller's regular blues night at the Five O'Clock Club.

Fuller and his band start out the night with some original tunes, then host an open-stage blues jam with many local musicians. Bring your instrument and join in.


TUESDAY, MARCH 24

L.A. Does Growlerstakes place at 9 p.m. at Growler's Pub. Free.

Growler's Pub and Frazz Productions welcomes two Los Angeles-based bands to its stage on a Tuesday.

The first band, Olio, will provide an eclectic mix of rock pop and funk, and alternative duo, London Has Fallen will round the night out.


WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25

Catch Me If You Cantakes place at 7:30 p.m. at The Players Theatre. $25 to $30. 

Catch the area premiere of this Broadway hit, based on the story of real-life con man Frank Abignale Jr.

This Tony Award-winning musical is based on the popular film of the same title and glamorizes the exciting life of a career con man. 


THURSDAY, MARCH 26

Tattoo Fest — takes place Thursday through Sunday at the Bradenton Area Convention Center. $20 single day; $45 for the weekend.

This annual event features four days of tattoos, celebrity guests, parties, a "Miss Tattoo Fest" competition and more.

Check out the artists, make an appointment and mingle with industry professionals and fellow ink enthusiasts.


FRIDAY, MARCH 27

Sarasota Chillounge: Cirque du Chill — takes place at 7 p.m. at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. $25.

Chillounge Night is teaming up with The Circus Arts Conservatory and Nock Productions to present Cirque du Chill.

This one-of-a-kind event will feature spectacular entertainment by world-renowned circus artists and will benefit Selby Gardens.


SATURDAY, MARCH 28

The Beer Mile — takes place at 3 p.m. at Mr. Beery's. $20.

The concept is simple: Chug a beer; run a quarter-mile; repeat until you've run a mile.

Cost includes admission, the four in-race beers, a post-race beer and a T-shirt. Awards for fastest male, fastest female, best costume and first to throw up.


SUNDAY, MARCH 29

Gospel Brunch — takes place at 11:30 a.m. at The Blue Rooster. $24.95 for adults, $12 for kids 12 and younger, and free for kids younger than 6.

Stop in after church for authentic Southern comfort food and live gospel, plus traditional and contemporary spirituals.

Reservations highly recommended.
