WEEKEND BEST BET: Selby's Lights in Bloom

The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens transforms itself into a winter wonderland at its annual Lights in Bloom Friday, Dec. 20.

Visitors will be able to enjoy the gardens after dark with over half a million lights illuminating the grounds. This year, the new children’s rainforest will be included in the display, allowing families to walk among the lights high up in the banyan trees.

This Sarasota tradition is a guaranteed fun night for families of all ages. With the beauty of the lights and arts and crafts for kids, Lights in Bloom has offers something fun for everyone. Santa and his elves will make nightly appearances in the garden from Friday, Dec. 20 to Monday, Dec. 23.

Selby Gardens will be open Friday, Dec. 20 through Monday, Dec. 23 and Thursday, Dec. 26 through Monday, Dec. 30.
