WEEKEND BEST BET: Sarasota SUP Series

Looking for something to do this weekend?

Head to the Sarasota SUP Series Saturday, June 22, on Siesta Key Beach, to watch paddleboard racing right from the beach. Browse through the various vendors, listen to music and learn why paddle boarding is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. Bring your sunscreen, towel and cooler and make a day out of it.

KONA and Red Bull will be providing free beverages and spectators can participate in paddle demo’s taught by elite racers.

Beachgoers can also experience a new sort of skateboarding in the parking lot.

Loaded Landboards will hold landboarding relay races. Landboarding is similar to skateboarding except the boards are longer and the racers propel themselves with a push pole or land paddle.

Proceeds from the race will benefit Suncoast Charities for Children.
