WEEKEND BEST BET: Sale Shopping on the Key

Calling all savvy shoppers! Church sales are the key to great deals on Longboat this weekend.

For a first look at the countless bargains, the Royal Rummage Sale offers early bird entry today, March 7, from noon to 4 p.m. at St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church. Admission is $5.

On March 8, the Sale runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring clothing, dishes, electronics, art, baked goods, furniture and more. Call 383-1255 for more information.

Members of Christ Church will also be hosting their Sale Away from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 8 at Christ Church of Longboat Key, Presbyterian.

At their first sale in 2012, over $17,000 was raised and donated to local missions, an impressive achievement they aim to top this year. This year’s selection includes gently used books, home décor, clothing, furniture, jewelry and electronics. Call the church office at 383-8833 with any questions.
