WEEKEND BEST BET: Rock Out for a Cause

LAKEWOOD RANCH — No rock arena? No problem.

Six regional bands will showcase their unique sounds at the Rock Out for a Cause benefit concert beginning at 5 p.m., Friday, April 8, at Lakewood Ranch High School, 5500 Lakewood Ranch Blvd.

Bands include headliner and Bradenton natives We The Kings (scroll down for vide) along with New City Lions, Tigerweather, Speedwell, Skyline Summer and Lion Choir.

Money raised at the event will benefit Taking Back Lives, Manatee Glens, Solve Maternity Homes, Family Network on Disabilities, Honor Animal Rescue and the Food Bank of Manatee.
