WEEKEND BEST BET: River cleanup slated for Saturday

East County residents interested in improving the environment should get their paddles and hands ready for the Great American Cleanup of the Braden River event to be held Saturday morning.

The Old Braden River Historical Society will lead this event, which will last from 9 a.m. to noon, April 17, at Jiggs Landing Preserve, 6106 Braden River Road.

Registration starts at 8:30 a.m.
