WEEKEND BEST BET: Holidays Around the Ranch

Lakewood Ranch Community Activities will present its annual Holidays Around the Ranch event from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 14, on Lakewood Ranch Main Street.

The event will begin with Santa riding in on a horse-drawn carriage, as well as a tree-lighting ceremony.

Other festivities include ice skating, face painting, crafts, music, photos with Santa, dance performances and more.

Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to bring either a non-perishable good to donate to The Food Bank of Manatee, or a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.
