WEEKEND BEST BET: Goodwill Manasota Bookapalooza

This weekend, the annual Goodwill Manasota Bookapalooza returns. Perfect for anyone who loves to read, the sale includes thousands of books at 25% off regular Goodwill prices.

Readers of all ages are invited to spend the day getting lost among the hard to find vintage books as well as best sellers. A silent auction and children’s coloring contest will take place during the sale. The silent auction includes a copy of “The Very Fairy Princess,” signed by co-author Julie Andrews, and a signed copy of Stephen King’s “Under the Dome.” There will also be a children’s corner and a special $1-book section.

Admission to the sale is free and runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Centergate Bookstore, 5880 Bee Ridge Road. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Goodwill.
