Weekend Best Bet: Glow-Run-Wish

Adults 21 and older can illuminate the night at the Gold Coast Eagle Distributing inaugural Make-A-Wish Glow-Run-Wish 5K-ish Fun Beer Run.

The glow party through the streets of Lakewood Ranch features a roughly 5K run, beer and food.

The festivities start at 7 p.m. at Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, 7051 Wireless Court, Sarasota, and end with an after party from 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation.
