Ringling Underground, a monthly series of live music and experimental art, returns to the Ringling Museum of Art courtyard. Kicking off this year's season is Tomboi, a Jacksonville guitar-and-synth-driven electronica trio; Soapbox Soliloquy And The Nimbus Initiative, a psychedelic act from St. Petersburg; and local jangly indie-pop band Cassolette. Cash bar available.

 

Sisterhood For Good Comedy Fundraiser

Enjoy an evening of laughs while supporting local philanthropic organization Sisterhood for Good. Comedian Carmen Ciricillo headlines this event, and proceeds will benefit local nonprofits. Tickets include two well-drink vouchers.

 

'A Streetcar Named Desire'

The Players Centre for Performing Arts opens its 87th season with this 1948 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama by Tennessee Williams. Set immediately after World War II, the play follows a destitute woman named Blanche DuBois on her travels from to live with her younger sister and brother-in-law. Runs through Sept. 11.
