4th Annual Beers & Beards

If you haven't noticed, beards are in. And now, they're more than just an über-masculine way to assert your dominance — your follicular fortitude can actually make a difference in the world. This fourth annual event calls on local men to put their chin curtains to use in its Best of Beards Competition. Do you have what it takes? Proceeds will benefit Whole Foods' Whole Planet Foundation, which funds entrepreneurs in their efforts to end world hunger. After being judged, turn the tables and be the judge of your favorite beer, available for sampling. Enjoy snacks and samples. Must be 21 to participate in beer tasting.
 

Dale Jones

The phrase "high energy" doesn't do Dale Jones justice. The comic, who trained at the renowned Second City theatre troupe, has appeared on a variety of shows, including "Last Comic Standing," and is a regular on Sirius XM's "Blue Collar Channel." 

 

Daniel Brock

LDG Productions presents an evening with Daniel Brock, a solo jazz guitarist, who also plays regularly with his Jazz Trio, The Tequila Jazz Project. 

 

Beer and Cheese Pairing

Gallery Walk & Talk: 'Samurai: The Art of Armor'

Status symbols aren't just for modern yuppies — even samurai warriors used their weapons and armor to make a statement. This talk will explore some of the relics, on display in the museum, in greater depth and examine their production and historical significance.
