Sweetgrass Farm to Fork Dinner by Chef Louis Robinson

Chef Louis Robinson serves up a four-course farm-to-fork wine dinner in collaboration with Sweetgrass Farms to benefit the Florida State Beekeeper Association. The meal will include fennel pollen-cured salmon, sous vide swordfish, gourmet cheese, candied pecans and local honey, and white chocolate panna cotta.

'Love Letters'

This performance, starring John Scalzi and Linda Larsen, tells, through a compilation of letters, the story of two people who grew up together, went their separate ways but continued to share confidences.

The title of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's two-act Italian-language opera, "Così fan tutte," translates to "all women do this." His comedy and score, performed by the Sarasota Opera, make for a lighthearted affair. 

 

George Winston

Ariel Blue

WBTT star Ariel Blue has graced the stage plenty of times in main stage productions, but now the stage is all hers, as she presents a musical evening of soul, blues and laughter in her cabaret-style showcase. The one-woman show also features a blues guitarist.

'The Sam Cooke Story'

Written and directed by WBTT Founder and Artistic Director Nate Jacobs, this production explores Sam Cooke's distinctive voice, career and tragic death, as well as his impact on American music. 

"Each season, WBTT performs at least one show that I conceive and direct," writes Jacobs. "This year, I chose to feature a musical icon who became the first African-American singer to control the rights to his own music. His background is interesting, because most people recognize his songs, but few know his personal story."

'The Battle of Legnano'
