'One Man, Two Guvnors'

Running through Jan. 10, Richard Bean’s comedic update on the 18th century comedy, “Servant of Two Masters,” opens Florida Studio Theatre’s 2015 mainstage season. Connor Carew stars as the gullible, yet lovable man who must survive serving two different crime lords in 1960s Brighton, England.

 

'Soul Mates: A Journey to Hitsville'

You have two chances on Tuesday to see the Motown stylings of Florida Studio Theatre’s first cabaret show of the season. Starring Ryan Connolly, Jordan Craig, Andrew Mauney and Luke Minx as a smooth R&B quartet, the show travels through the soul classics of the 1960s and 70s including the Jackson 5, The Commodores, Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson.

'West Side Story'

Preemptively work off that Thanksgiving and help a great cause at this sixth annual holiday run. Run alongside 1,500 other participants in this 5k, which helps raise money and awareness for at-risk LGBT youth and allies.

Once Thanksgiving has come and gone, breaking out Christmas songs and showing your holiday spirit is officially fair game. Acclaimed jazz saxophonist Dave Koz brings the Christmas spirit back to Sarasota, along with guitarist Jonathan Butler, saxophonist Candy Dulfer and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-vocalist and one half of the Righteous Brothers, Bill Medley.

Craft Beer Car Show

The Key Chorale continues its season with classical holiday offerings from some of choral music’s greatest composers, including Claudio Monteverdi, Andrea Gabrieli, Bartholomaeus Praetorius and Heinrich Schütz, the Key Chorale’s concert was inspired by Venice, Italy’s St. Mark’s Basilica where the group performed in 2009.
