Wave Runners make a splash

The Lakewood Ranch YMCA Wave Runners captured a third-place trophy at the TBAY Invitational in June 29-30 in Lakeland.

This is the first team trophy the Wave Runners, who were one of 18 teams competing, have ever won.

Summer Cardwell won the high point award for the 8 and under girls. Elijah Gelongo won the third runner-up high point award for the 11-and 12-year-old boys. Courtney Chapin won the second runner-up high point award for the 13-and 14-year-old girls; and Bea Gelongo won the third runner-up high point award for the 15-18-year-old girls.
