Volunteers needed for new retirement board of trustees

The town of Longboat Key is currently accepting applications for appointments to the Consolidated Retirement System Board of Trustees.

The town will appoint five residents to the newly created board. Applicants must be registered voters of the town and cannot be employees of the town, former members or town retirees.

All applications should be submitted to the Town Clerk's office by 5 p.m. Sept. 2. The town commission will host an applicant "meet and greet" at 10 a.m. Sept. 8, in commission chambers.

Applications are available at the Town Clerk’s office, or they can be downloaded form the town’s website at www.longboatkey.org.
