Vision Plan subcommittee formation begins

Planning, Zoning and Building Director Monica Simpson sent an e-mail to Planning and Zoning Board members Friday, May 21, informing them that the Town Commission agreed last week to create a subcommittee to review the town’s Vision Plan for future utilization and possible implementation.

Simpson informed the planning board the subcommittee will consists of two commissioners, two planning board members and a chamber of commerce representative that lives on the island.

Wrote Simpson: “At the June Planning and Zoning Board meeting, you will be asked to appoint two members of the board to sit on the subcommittee. Work of the subcommittee would start in the summer with no specific end date.”
