Some streets in the Longbeach Village, including portions of the low-lying Broadway and Longboat Drive, are experiencing minor flooding following this morning’s high tide, along with yesterday’s showers brought on by Tropical Storm Isaac.

The water in the roadway is salt water and could be harmful to vehicles.

Although Isaac spared the area and appears to be headed toward New Orleans, thunder storms and showers are in the forecast for Longboat Key this afternoon, according to the Weather Channel’s website, weather.com.
