Gov. Rick Scott stopped in Sarasota Tuesday, to honor local veterans during an event at the National Guard Armory.
Scott and U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan handed out medals to more than 150 veterans in attendance.
"There was nothing done for us when we got out of the service," said Vietnam War veteran Daniel Corcoran. "It's just nice to have the governor come out and honor veterans — all veterans."
