VIDEO: Police investigate armed robbery at North Trail bar

The Sarasota Police Department is seeking more information about two men allegedly involved in an armed robbery at a North Trail bar early Sunday morning.

The two men reportedly took money and bottles of alcohol from Memories Lounge at about 1:30 a.m., the police department announced. One man was armed with a rifle, and the other with a shotgun, according to the report.

The police department shared a video of the incident. In the video, two men run through the front door of the business and one demands money from the bartender. After collecting money and the bottles of alcohol, the two men are seen leaving on foot through the parking lot.

The department encouraged anyone with additional information regarding the incident to contact Detective Dustin Luciano at 363-5827. Individuals can also leave information with Crime Stoppers anonymously by calling 366-8477 or visiting the Crime Stoppers website.

The report described the first suspect as a black male with a muscular build, 5’8” to 5’10” in height, between 25-35 years old. The suspect reportedly had a long black goatee or beard, brown eyes and black hair. The report described the second suspect as an approximately 6’0” tall black male with a thin build, also between 25-35 years old.
