VFW announces contest winners

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12055 members named three students from Haile Middle School as winners of this year’s “Patriots Pen” essay contest April 14.

Sar-Kate Dyson, Taylor Lewis and Brianna McVaugh will advance for VFW District judging in the nationwide VFW-sponsored essay contest.

Dyson, Lewis and McVaugh all earned engraved plaques and a checks for $100 as a prize.
