Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall will meet with the Van Wezel Foundation for a first meeting of the joint Capital Committee at 1:30 p.m. April 17. The Foundation is a non-profit arm of the venue that supports it with millions of dollars in capital improvements.

At the meeting, Mary Bensel, executive director; Stephen Brown, technical director and facilities manger; Jerry Sheffer, facility supervisor; Tony Becich, general manager/finance manager are planning to present a list of the Capital projects that have been completed or are still being completed in the past five years that cost more than $1,000 — such as, a pit lift installation and a new ticketing system. The meeting will look at the next five years of budgeted capital.

They might also discuss potential projects, needs and even a wish-list of projects to improve the hall, such as: new carpet, entranceway improvements and grand foyer improvements, to name a few of the potential projects or needs.
