UPWC Garden Group enjoys educational river cruise

Members of the University Park Women’s Club Garden Group enjoyed a scenic view of the Manatee River May 3, as the group embarked on a two-hour educational and environmental eco-cruise on the MV River Skipper.

Led by Manatee Riverside Tours, the group traveled the river along Palma Sola, Desoto State Park and Robinson Preserve, as well as Emerson Point Preserve, Palmetto and the estuaries along the north side of the river.

The eco-cruise adventures have become an annual tradition in May for the group.
