UPDATE: Sarasota deputies investigate homicide

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office released Karli Wilbanks, 25, after questioning last night, pending further investigation in a fatal shooting on Ranchero Drive Monday, according to an email from Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Wendy Rose.

Detectives don't anticipate releasing any new information until the investigation is complete.

Earlier: The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has an unnamed suspect in custody in connection with a domestic-related shooting that left one man dead Monday.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call before 1 p.m. at a home on Ranchero Drive and found the body of 41-year-old Michael Reign Goodman, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release. Authorities have not released the identity of the suspect in custody during the ongoing investigation.

Goodman owned the used-car dealership A to Z Autos Inc. located on South Tamiami Trail, according to filings with the Florida Department of State Division of Corporations.
