UPDATE: More big name retailers set to join University Town Center lineup

About 100 stores and more than 10 restaurants will fill the inside of the current metal skeleton facing University Parkway and I-75 that will soon be The Mall at University Town Center.

A banner on the new mall's website lists the official countdown for shoppers anxiously awaiting the four months, three days, 22 hours and 29 minutes until the center's opening date — Oct. 16.

So far, a variety of retailers have confirmed or submitted building permits mall spots. Those stores include: Anthropologie; Aveda; Banana Republic; Bath & Body Works; Champs Sports; Crate & Barrel; Dillard's; Gap; J. Crew; MAC; Macy's; Michael Kors; Pottery Barn; Saks Fifth Avenue; Sephora; Z Gallerie and a wide range of other retailers.

Future dining spots include The Cheesecake Factory, Mandarin Express, Seasons 52 and Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar among others.
