University ramp closure expected tonight

A closure of University Parkway under Interstate 75 tonight has been cancelled, however the I-75 southbound off-ramp likely will be closed.

The Florida Department of Transportation reports the closure will run from 11 p.m. tonight to 5 a.m. Saturday and single-lane closures will start at 8 p.m.

Motorists should follow detour signs.

The improvements are being made as part of FDOT’s efforts to reconfigure the interchange ofUniversity Parkway and I-75 into a diverging diamond design it believes will improve traffic flow and capacity.
