Trash bin at Lakewood Ranch park destroyed by fire

The East Manatee Fire Department and the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious fire at Greenbrook Adventure Park in Lakewood Ranch Wednesday afternoon.

Sheriff's deputies arrived on scene around 4 p.m. Wednesday to find a wooden trash bin still smoldering, near the picnic area inside the Adventure Park. 

The trash bin was destroyed.  

No one was injured.

Deputies placed yellow caution tape near the trash bin and the fire department extinguished the fire and took photos.
