Both Longboat Key Mayor Jack Duncan and Vice Mayor Terry Gans will remain seated for another year.
At a statutory meeting March 21, commissioners nominated Duncan and Gans to remain in their seats, and since there were no alternate nominations accepted, those nominations were approved unanimously.
Commissioner Phill Younger nominated Terry Gans for mayor, but Gans declined the nomination.
Commissioners also welcomed two new members to the board: former Deputy Secretary of the International Monetary Fund Armando Linde and former commercial litigator Ed Zunz, to replace termed-out commissioners Lynn Larson and Pat Zunz for Districts 1 and 5, respectively.
