The Longboat Key Fire Rescue Department took delivery if its new ambulance last week.
The new $192,000 ambulance replaces a 1997 ambulance that had been in operation on the Key for 12 years.
The ambulance is getting equipped with radio equipment and will be ready for its first call sometime this week.
