THURSDAY, June 23-SUNDAY, June 26

Swimmers from Costa Rica, Honduras, The Cayman Islands, Colorado, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Florida will hit the water for the 2016 Sarasota Shark Open Swim Meet at the Evalyn Sadlier YMCA pool, 8301 Potter Park Dr., Sarasota. The 50-meter long course meet for swimmers, ages 8-19, will begin at 8 a.m. 

FRIDAY, June 24- SUNDAY, June 26

The best club high school 7v7 football teams in the country will vie for the NFA 7v7 National Championship, at IMG Academy, 5650 Bollettieri Blvd., Bradenton. Teams will face off in pool play and a double elimination bracket, beginning at 8 a.m. 

SATURDAY, June 25-SUNDAY, June 26

Competitive lacrosse will return to Lakewood Ranch during the fourth annual Rippin’ at the Ranch at the Premier Sports Campus. Teams ranging from U9 to U18 will take the field for pool play beginning at 8 a.m. June 25 and will continue with championship rounds June 26. 

MONDAY, June 27-THURSDAY, June 30 

Lakewood Ranch High boys and girls basketball coaches Jeremy Schiller and Tina Hadley will hold the second week of their summer basketball camp from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the school’s gymnasium. The camp, which will feature skills and drills, full court games and contests, is open to all players entering grades 2-9.
