THURSDAY, April 14

The Out-of-Door Academy baseball team closes the regular season at 7 p.m. against Sarasota Christian. It’s the first meeting of the season for the two teams, which both clinched No. 1 seeds in their respective district tournaments. 

SATURDAY, April 16-SUNDAY, April 17

Nearly 175 boys and girls youth soccer teams, ranging in age from U8 to U19, will compete in the annual Bradenton Cup, at the Braden River Soccer Club. Pool play will begin at 8 a.m. April 16 with championship games slated for the following day. 

SATURDAY, April 16-SUNDAY, April 17

The Sarasota Crew and Sarasota Scullers hit the water for the Florida Scholastic Rowing Association Sculling Championships at Nathan Benderson Park. More than 30 clubs from across the state are scheduled to participate in the regatta, which will begin at 8 a.m. 

TUESDAY, April 19

The No. 2 seeded Braden River baseball team will open Class 7A-District 9 tournament play when the Pirates host No. 3 seed Tampa Bay Tech at 7 p.m. in the district semifinals. The winner will advance to the district championship April 21.
