Temple Beth Sholom Schools hosted Culinary Delights Cooking Camp last week. On July 9, campers learned how to make fruit skewers, broccoli and cheese and mashed potatoes. The campers, ages 3 through 5, were inspired after reading food-related books, such as the Irish folktale, “Jamie O’Rourke and the Big Potato,” by Tomie dePaola.

What have you learned at camp? (In the sink and float class) I learned that rocks sink.

What’s your favorite thing to do at camp? Play with cars and swim at the water playtime.

Do you know how to make mashed potatoes? Yeah! I like to mash them hard. I buy them at the baker store and add milk and cheese and sugar and cook them in my house for three minutes.
