TBI soloist to perform in collaborative recital

+ TBI soloist to perform in collaborative recital
Rebecca Hill, Temple Beth Israel cantorial soloist, will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 1 in a recital with friends at the Church of the Redeemer, in Sarasota. The recital, “Song to the Moon,” by Dvorak, is dedicated to Hill’s late daughter, Allison Clayback. Songs in nine different languages plus Spanish and Israel folk dancing will be on the program. Yom Hashoa, a tribute to Holocaust victims, is also scheduled. Other performers are: cantor Alan Cohn, from Temple Beth El, in Bradenton; Glen Darling and Carries Mills, with an octet presenting selections from Stabat Mater, by Rossini. The recital is open to the public with a freewill offering.
