Even if Linger Lodge's restaurant wasn't closed for renovations until Sept, 16, General Manager David LaRusso said it wouldn't have been affected by the swelling Braden River, which was steadily rising on Sept. 2 due to rain from Hurricane Hermine.

Linger Lodge General Manager David LaRusso said about 12 people had to evacuated out of RV sites on the lower level of the property due to the swelling of the Braden River. The lodge wasn't affected and was closed for renovations, anyway.

However, a lower lying area of Linger Lodge campground had to be closed, meaning about 12 people had to be evacuated from the area.

All the docks at Linger Lodge were under water on Sept. 2, but the water wasn't threatening the lodge or the upper levels of the campground.
