The 29th annual Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix Festival, which benefits Suncoast Children’s Charities, will have the results of the economic impact in two weeks, once all data is collected.
Festival organizer Lucy Nicandri said there "wasn’t an inch of sand to stand on" at Lido Beach with more than 25,000 people in attendance.
In addition, there were about 300 spectator boats watching the races from the water. Nicandri said the media coverage helped amp up the amount of participants in the festival this year.
