With its weekly updated window displays and ever-changing mixed media of pottery, fabric, pastels, stained glass, photography and paintings, visiting Art Uptown Gallery is always a fresh experience.

The gallery, located on lower Main Street, is Sarasota’s oldest and only cooperative fine art gallery, reflecting the works of more than 30 area artists.

“People who browse the gallery every week have watched it evolve over the last 30 years into an interesting gallery that they appreciate,” said Gunda Dehn, gallery assistant manager. “Our art qualifies as decorative art and goes from that to fine art. It runs the full gamut.”
