With more than 25 years as a dentist, Dr. Nancy Aft knows that making patients feel at ease is the key to success.

That's why it's the focus of her newly opened dental office, Smile Smart Dental Center in Twelve Oaks Shopping Center.

"We're going to treat you like family," said Aft, who owns the practice with her business partner Robert Fallis. "People want to feel like they have access to (the answers to their questions and concerns. We have a nice, friendly, easy-going atmosphere and that counts for a lot."

The dental practice offers full dental services, including basic cleanings, cosmetics, and veneers, and boasts state-of-the-art equipment. It accepts most dental insurances and plans, but for individuals who don’t have coverage or want more services than their insurer covers, Smile Smart offers a group value plan, which offers a 25% discount to groups of five or more.

"We're not going to sell you something you don’t need," Aft said. "We offer the fairest fees and work with you (on treatment options)."

Aft said the company is in the process of starting a dental assisting program, and also would like to open more practices if the concept proves successful.
