STORE AROUND THE CORNER: Merle Norman

After more than 20 years in west Bradenton, Pamella Boozer has moved her Merle Norman cosmetics business to the East County, opening a location in Bennett Plaza in February.

The studio celebrated with a grand opening celebration April 16-17.

Boozer's Merle Norman studio offers high quality, U.S.-made cosmetics and skin care products, a well as manicures and pedicures, facials and waxing services.

“I love the product and I believe in the product,” said Boozer, who has used Merle Norman cosmetics since she was just 18 years old.

Boozer said she had been looking for a location out east since April of 2009 before finding her new home on State Road 64 just a few months ago.

“I felt in order to grow, I needed to come out here,” said Boozer, whose been in the beauty consulting business since 1987. “That area of town was no longer working for my business. I have a bigger clientele from out east and in Parrish.”

Boozer said she is thrilled with the new location, which also has a more modern and user-friendly look that her previous site.
