State College of Florida (SCF), Manatee-Sarasota sophomore pitcher Brendon Little was selected 27th overall by the Chicago Cubs in the 2017 MLB Draft. He was the first junior college player selected.
Little, a lefty, led the Manatees with a 2.53 ERA and was second in the country with 133 strikeouts.
He transferred to the school from the University of North Carolina.
