The St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Guild re-elected its current slate of officers for the coming year during its annual luncheon held April 21, at Stella Maris Hall. Officers are Carole McMahon, president; Carol Fischbein, vice president; Pat Young, corresponding secretary; Jane Vorel, recording secretary; and Rhonda Browning, treasurer.

Guest speakers were Wendy Dawson and Arline Napiecek. Dawson was recently elected Northern Deanery director of the Venice Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. She spoke about the National Council of Catholic Women program and its activities.

Napiecek discussed the recent memorial prayer service held at St. Mary’s for people who lost loved ones during the last two years.

This was the final Guild meeting of the season — the next meeting will be held in October. However, the Christmas Bazaar Committee will be meeting regularly this summer.
