A waterfront St. Armands Key home closed today for $4.25 million.

The sale price was the highest amount paid for a single-family home on the island since 2007.

The 6,123-square-foot home at 112 N. Washington Drive with 141 feet of frontage on Sarasota Bay went under contract after 81 days on the market.

Property records list Priscilla Doulton as the seller. The name of the buyer was not immediately available.

The home was designed by Sarasota architect Clifford Scholz and built by the late Michael Collingwood in 2001.

Reid Murphy, of Developers Realty, Inc., represented the seller. Kathleen Callender, of Michael Saunders & Co., represented the buyer.
