East County Observer Sports Editor Jen Blanco and her husband, Brian, rang in the New Year with a special bundle of joy.
The couple welcomed their newest Ohio State Buckeye fan — Cameron Michael Blanco — to the family at 7:17 a.m. Dec. 24.
Born at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Cameron weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 inches long.
But his big brother, Brendan, 4, may be the proudest member of the family.
