New College of Florida broke ground Jan. 26 on the most significant academic building to be constructed on the campus in nearly 20 years. The centralized LEED-certified $11 million Academic Center and Plaza, scheduled to be completed by the fall, will announce the entrance of the college to more than 55,000 passersby along North Tamiami Trail.
