Siesta Key seawall project put on hold

The Sarasota County project aimed at replacing a Siesta Key sea wall has been put on hold until Nov. 1.

CB Construction Services Corp. started work on the Bay Island Park seawall replacement project began this summer, but stopped after the death of the firm's president and CEO Aug. 27. A passing boat had discovered the body of CB Construction President and CEO Cresente Bautista, 59, on a sandbar in Big Pass.
