Siesta Key beach earns another ranking

Siesta Key public beach continues to rack up top rankings from travel websites.

The latest comes from Gogobot, which pairs social media with travel planning. Gogobot users ranked Siesta their 15th favorite beach in the world.

“The family-friendly beach's quartz sand feels like powdered sugar between your toes and never heats up, even in the melting Florida sun. Commune even more with the tranquil vibe during the Sunday afternoon drum circle,” reads a description in the list of awards.

In February, Siesta took second place on TripAdvisor’s list of best beaches in the U.S., and was ranked third FlipKey’s list of requested international locations for 2013.
