Siesta Chamber to host disaster preparation meeting

Residents of Siesta Key can attend a meeting Tuesday, Sept. 9, to learn about hurricane and disaster preparation.

Topics will include pre-hurricane preparedness, such as: how to set up a hurricane plan and what kind of supplies to keep ready in case of a hurricane, and post-hurricane information such as what to do after a disaster and how to re-enter the Key.

Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce is hosting the infosession with help from Sarasota County Emergency Management, St. Boniface Episcopal Church, Siesta Key Village Association and the Siesta Key Association.

The meeting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. in the community room at St. Boniface, 5615 Midnight Pass, Siesta.
