Siesta Beach home tops week's sales at $1,425,000

The following residential real estate transactions took place between Sept. 12 and Sept. 16.

A home in Siesta Beach tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Ryan Taylor and Karen Varone, Sarasota, sold their home at 5050 Commonwealth Drive to Anthony and Courtney Bonacuse, of Sparks, Md., for $1,425,000. Built in 2002, it has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and two half-baths, a pool and 4,626 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,650,000 in 2008.

Horizons West Bayside
Ronald and Lynn Stroup, of Spring Lake, Mich., sold their Unit E-11 condominium at 6145 Midnight Pass Road to Stephen and Edeltraud Bradley, of Lexington, Mass., for $525,000. Built in 1968, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,212 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $950,000 in 2005.

Siesta Isles
Stephen and Amy Furry, Lakewood Ranch, sold their home at 5533 Cape Aqua Drive to Brian and Emily Hill and Sheng Zhai and Mei Chen, of Hauppauge, N.Y., for $430,000. Built in 1967, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 2,202 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $425,000 in 2002.

Village West
John and Linda Harrison, Sarasota, sold their Unit 108 condominium at 5254 Avenida Navarra to Christopher Langholz and Jie Chen, of Minneapolis, Minn., for $375,000. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 941 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $85,000 in 1984.

Sarasota Beach
Christopher Callas, Sarasota, sold his home at 405 Island Circle to Myles and Barbara Locke, of Buford, Ga., for $347,000. Built in 1952, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,686 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $608,000 in 2007.

Tarpon House
George and Rosemary Ardagna, of Wakefield, Mass., sold their Unit 303 condominium at 1350 N. Portofino Drive to Robert and Cynthia Holden, of Newfoundland, Canada, for $295,000. Built in 1969, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,030 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $215,000 in 2009.

Midnight Cove II
Robert and Paula Wells, of Virginia Beach, Va., sold their Unit 832 condominium at 1200 Midnight Cove II Place to Marco Drudi, of Ontario, Canada, for $230,000. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, one-and-a half baths and 860 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $477,500 in 2005.
