+ Thunder walk off with win
The Out-of-Door Academy baseball team scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a bases-loaded walk to defeat Lakewood Ranch 5-4 March 14.
Sophomore Tyler Dietrich hit a triple to lead off the bottom half of the inning. Jake Romine, who had hit a two-run triple earlier in the game, drew a walk to score the winning run.
Austin Hoppe earned the win on the mound for the Thunder, allowing two runs on six hits.

+ Yan finishes second
Michelle Yan shot a combined 10-over-par 154 to finish second in the girls 15 to 18 age group of The Johnson Wales University Series March 9 and March 10, at Timacuan Golf and Country Club in Lake Mary.
The event, which drew 114 golfers across four age divisions, was part of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour.

+ GSJGA continues Winter Tournament Series
The Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association held its third of five Winter Tournament Series events March 13, at Bent Tree Country Club in Sarasota. Individual results include:

ODA girls tennis
The Out-of-Door Academy improved to 7-0 with a 5-2 victory over St. Stephen’s March 14.
Caroline Dailey (No. 1), M’Balia Bangoura (No. 2), Alana Sherman (No. 4) and Cheyenne Kerekes (No. 5) all recorded singles victories for the Lady Thunder. Dailey and Bangoura also were victorious at No. 1 doubles.
