Sheriff's vehicle strikes barricade

A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office employee is uninjured after his work vehicle struck a barricade on State Road 64 in the East County yesterday.

A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report states 31-year-old Robert Wilson was driving westbound on State Road 64 through a construction zone in the 10300 block of S.R. 64 when he struck a barricade with the passenger side of his vehicle. The incident caused about $800 in dame to the front fender, outside mirror and rear door panel.

Wilson did not sustain any injuries and drove the vehicle from the scene. The proper paperwork was completed, the report states.
